Despite their financial problems, FC Barcelona have still been able to conduct their business in the transfer market in a very satisfactory manner. They have been able to land some of their most desired targets, and only in the last summer, were able to strengthen their team with the likes of Joan Garcia, Marcus Rashford, and Roony Bardghji.

However, the Catalans have also faced their fair share of disappointments, and as SPORT has noted, they have faced another such disappointment as the Premier League side Chelsea has signed the RC Strasbourg striker Emmanuel Emegha, one of the players also liked by Deco.

During the 2024/25 season in the French Ligue 1, the 22-year-old Dutch forward had scored 14 goals and provided 3 assists in 27 total appearances. With these numbers and his overall performances, he remained one of the most interesting players in France during the last season.

For now, Chelsea have got him, and it remains to be seen whether he will remain in the Blues squad after joining them next season, as he is going to complete the current season with Strasbourg, or leave on loan. But as far as Barcelona are concerned, they have missed out on what could have been a highly exciting signing for them, especially with Robert Lewandowski’s advancing age.
