There’s been a lot of change at Everton since the Friedkin Group completed their takeover in December.
Everton’s academy has had major investment, with best-in-class Nick Cox joining from Manchester United as the technical director.
United fans were gutted to lose Cox as he brought through several talented youngsters at Carrington, including Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.
The Friedkins have also made multiple changes within the recruitment team, with former Leeds United Director of Football Nick Hammond now leading player trading activity.
With that said, Everton are set to appoint a highly-rated scout to work under Hammond.

Everton expected to appoint Mick Doherty
It was reported in March that Moyes wanted to hire his former scout Mick Doherty, but Angus Kinnear had other ideas.
Kinnear wanted Hammond and talent scout Gary Penrice from Leeds, but only managed to land the former.
Now, according to Alan Nixon’s Patreon, Moyes is expected to get his wish, as the inside word is that Doherty will return to the club.

Doherty, who worked for Everton between 1997 and 2011, was responsible for the signing of Seamus Coleman.
He is thought to be keen on reuniting with Moyes.
How Mick Doherty spotted Seamus Coleman
Speaking back in 2015, Doherty explained how he discovered Coleman, who ended up becoming one of the best signings in Premier League history, costing Everton just £60,000.
“It happened that I was in the right place at the right time,” the scout explained to the Liverpool Echo.
“Sean was playing for Sligo at the time so I would go over and watch him play and spend time with him. When I saw Seamus play I was like ‘bloody hell he’s a talent’.
“He was fast, strong and had a great work ethic up and down the line. When I got the job at Everton, I put Seamus’ name to David Moyes and his staff.
“He was this young, Irish boy who was raw and there was a lot of work to do technically. But he had great heart and spirit so I recommended him to David.”
Doherty added: “He was like a bomb down that line but he wasn’t getting tested defensively.”
