31-year-old guard Cameron Payne reportedly will not return to the Knicks for the upcoming season.
One of last season’s key rotation guards reportedly won’t return to the New York Knicks for the upcoming season.
According to Stefan Bondy of the New York Post, Cameron Payne is set to continue his career elsewhere.
The 31-year-old averaged 6.9 points, 2.8 assists, and 1.4 rebounds across 72 regular-season games for New York during the 2024–25 campaign.
Earlier reports indicated that Payne was among the candidates for a backup guard role with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
After entering the league in 2015 with the Oklahoma City Thunder as a first-round pick, he has since played for multiple franchises, including Chicago, Cleveland, Phoenix, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and New York.
