British boxing legend Ricky Hatton was found dead in his Greater Manchesterhome on Sunday morning at the age of 46.
Manchester City confirmed there will be a minute's applause for Hatton, a revered supporter, before their derby clash with Manchester United.
Hatton was a multiple world title winner at light-welterweight and welterweight, known for fights against Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
A devoted Manchester City fan, Hatton often wore sky blue shorts and used 'Blue Moon' as his walkout song, even fighting at the Etihad Stadium in 2008.
Pundits Micah Richards and Roy Keane paid tribute to Hatton during the Sky Sports build-up, with Richards describing him as a “British icon” and “man of the people”.
