Quarterback Brock Purdy and tight end George Kittle have already been ruled out of Week 2. The good news is that Purdy might return in Week 3 after reports that he is suffering from a version of turf toe.

Kittle is out for the next four games due to a hamstring injury. The other bit of good news is that receiver Jauan Jennings is expected to suit up, and reports indicate that he was on the field and preparing to do so against the New Orleans Saints.

While there is some good news regarding injuries on the team, the 49ers were just dealt some even better news regarding the status of All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams.

After testing his knee in pre-game activities, Williams is set to play against the Saints.

The All-Pro left tackle has been dealing with a knee injury, but he is good to go against New Orleans. Now, the 49ers can take on the Saints with one of their most important offensive players.

The 49ers losing Purdy will be tough to deal with, but reports have indicated that the team has plenty of confidence in Mac Jones. Jones having Williams on the offensive line should benefit him greatly.

Star running back Christian McCaffrey will also benefit from Williams being back in the lineup to help open running lanes.

Jennings and Williams being back might just give the 49ers the confidence in putting together a second win to start the season. With Jones under center, the team does have a chance, but they will need to be on their A-game to ensure that happens.
