Nottingham Forest had a very eventful summer with a host of new arrivals checking in on Trentside.
The Reds were active right up until the final minutes of the transfer window slamming shut, with Oleksandr Zinchenko checking in at Forest right at the eleventh hour.
Forest added Douglas Luiz to the squad during the window, with Edu pushing to land the Brazilian after missing out on him during his time at Arsenal.
Luiz has surprisingly failed to get on the pitch in three consecutive games since checking in at the City Ground, and now some further information about his transfer has come to light.

Douglas Luiz to Nottingham Forest situation explained
Strictly speaking, Luiz is currently on loan at Forest but it’s now claimed there are some stipulations about what will happen in the future.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Luiz will sign a £21.5 million permanent deal with Forest should he play 45 minutes or more in 15 Premier League matches.
So far, Luiz has had to wait patiently, with Ange Postecoglou hinting that he chose to keep things pretty similar to the rest of the season against Arsenal yesterday.
Luiz looks like a solid signing given that he’s made over 200 appearances for Aston Villa in the Premier League and has 18 caps for Brazil to his name.

Now, however, it remains to be seen whether he will manage to meet the threshold of games required to turn his current loan deal into a permanent one.
Luiz will surely start against Swansea
The player will almost certainly be in line for some minutes against Swansea, with the Championship side likely to make some changes of their own.
Postecoglou will be desperate to claim a win in the Carabao Cup and head to Burnley next Saturday with a maiden win under his belt in charge of Forest.
Luiz didn’t do much pre-season with Juventus, and as a result, perhaps there is an element that Forest are simply being careful with him at the moment.
When the time comes for Luiz to play, he should be capable of keeping his place in the team, and hopefully, the Reds can get him some valuable minutes under his belt on Wednesday night.
