There will be mourners at State Farm Stadium next week while the Arizona Cardinals play on the road against their NFC West rivals, the San Francisco 49ers:
The 31-year-old, a co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shockingly assassinated on Wednesday while speaking to students at Utah Valley University. Following his death, the NFL paid tribute to Kirk, on the same night they honored the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks ahead of the Green Bay Packers clash with the Washington Commanders.
US President Donald Trump is expected to attend the memorial service alongside Vice-President JD Vance. It has also been confirmed that Kirk’s suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, has been arrested after turning himself in to police on Thursday.
State Farm Stadium, which hosted the Super Bowl back in 2023 between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, can seat over 60,000 people.

Following his death, Trump paid tribute to Kirk and his family.
Speaking at the Pentagon event commemorating the victims of 9/11, Trump said: “Before we begin, let me express the horror and grief so many Americans at the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk have felt.
“Charlie was a giant of his generation, a champion of liberty and an inspiration to millions and millions of people. Our prayers are with his wonderful wife, Erika, and his beautiful children.”
Kirk will receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the highest civilian award in the US that the President can award.
“You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife, the cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry,” added Kirk’s widow, Erika, in a livestream broadcast from Turning Point USA’s headquarters in her first public remarks following her husband’s death
“They should all know this: if you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before you have no idea, you have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world.”
