It’s been eventful at Nottingham Forest so far during the 2025/26 campaign.
Forest added a host of new players to the ranks during the summer transfer window, with Evangelos Marinakis increasing the competition for places at the club.
Nuno Espirito Santo had a disagreement with Edu and has now departed the club after almost two years in charge at the City Ground.
Ange Postecoglou has replaced Espirito Santo at Forest but now it seems as though the departed Reds incumbent might not be out of work for too long.

Nuno Espirito Santo wanted by West Ham
According to Alan Nixon, who has posted on his Patreon, Espirito Santo has worked his way onto the shortlist to replace Graham Potter at West Ham.
Potter claimed a 3-0 win over Forest before the international break in Espirito Santo’s last game in charge at the City Ground, but he could still be on borrowed time.
Yesterday, his Hammers team were battered 3-0 by London rivals Tottenham and the axe might be starting to fall on his short tenure in charge.
Espirito Santo will be keen to get back into football as quickly as possible and after finishing seventh with the Reds last season, his stock will be sky high.

Marinakis was right to sack Espirito Santo
From the moment Espirito Santo went out into the press and claimed that the relationship between him and Marinakis was broken, the writing was on the wall.
The Forest owner moved quickly to agree terms with Postecoglou, and in hindsight, he was within his rights to get rid of him after receiving the backlash from the head coach.
Marinakis has invested a lot of money into the playing squad, and Espirito Santo’s claims felt somewhat ungrateful to say the least.
Now, Forest have to park their admiration for what Espirito Santo achieved and get firmly behind Postecoglou as he looks to revive the club’s fortunes.
West Ham would be a tricky job for Espirito Santo, but if he does get it, he will almost certainly be desperate to prove a point to Marinakis that he was wrong to dismiss him.
