Jeremy Doku and Erling Haaland shone as Man City defeated Manchester United 3-0 in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
It was an even start to the match before Phil Foden gave City the lead with a simple header inside the box after some excellent footwork from Jeremy Doku in the build-up.
United continued to pose a threat on the break, though and went close to an equaliser when Bryan Mbeumo fired over the bar and Benjamin Sesko drew a stop from Gianluigi Donnarumma.
City started well after the restart and soon doubled their lead when Erling Haaland latched onto a through ball from Doku and dinked a simple finish beyond Bayindir.
The home side almost made it three when Haaland rounded the goalkeeper, only for his effort to be turned onto the post by Matthijs De Ligt. It wasn’t long before they did have a three when Haaland got the ball on the halfway line and raced through on goal to slot beyond Bayindir.
Here is how we rated the City players during the match:
Confident with balls into his box and never looked fazed. A great save to deny Mbeumo after the break.
