Manchester United were hammered to a 3-0 defeat by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
Jeremy Doku created the opening goal with his quick feet, and Phil Foden headed it home.
The derby lacked its usual quality in the first half, but the intensity rose after the break.
Erling Haaland had a quiet first half, but scored twice in quick succession to put the game to bed.
The Red Devils completely lost their way.
The worst part was that this City side were only playing in third gear.
This defeat leaves them with only one win in the last 10 away games. Questions have to be asked of Amorim now.
Player Ratings
Altay Bayindir – 5/10
Got beaten twice in one-on-one battles against Haaland.
Leny Yoro – 5/10
The teenager battled hard against Doku and Haaland but he came off second best far too often.
His early substitution for Harry Maguire was a logical move from Amorim.
Matthijs de Ligt – 5/10
The Dutchman kept Haaland quiet while stationed in the central centre-back role, but failed to marshal his defence effectively.
Luke Shaw – 1/10
Luke Shaw had the chance to stop Jeremy Doku from forging his way into the penalty area for the first goal, but he was schooled like a teenager.
He was once again at fault for the second goal, as Haaland was too strong for him. He made another sloppy error for the third goal.
Noussair Mazraoui – 5/10
A fine performance on his return. He looked assured at the back and supported Mbeumo in attack.
Patrick Dorgu – 4/10
Dorgu played with plenty of intensity, defending well and tirelessly covering his flank.
He got into promising positions several times, but his delivery was a major letdown every time he crossed the ball. He has to do better.
Manuel Ugarte – 4/10
His first Premier League start of the campaign and he did well until he got nutmegged in the build-up to Haaland’s goal.
Bruno Fernandes – 3/10
Another night to forget for Fernandes, as he lost track of Foden for the opener.
He barely created a single chance for his side, and in the second half, it was hard to tell if he was even on the pitch
Amad Diallo – 3/10
His nightmare start to the season shows no signs of ending. He was far too passive going forward, looking a shadow of his creative self from past campaigns.
Bryan Mbeumo – 5/10
Mbeumo struck a fantastic volley to bring his side back, but Donnarumma produced a magnificent save.
He tried to make a positive impact, but his side were humiliated for the second time in two months.
Benjamin Sesko – 6/10
He made an early statement with a fourth-minute shot and showed tidy ball control, but he suffered from a lack of service.
