Manchester United were comfortably defeated by Man City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
United have endured their worst start to a league season since the 1992/93 campaign with just four points from the opening four matches after an embarrassing 3-0 defeat at Man City. Amorim's side started the match well but went a goal down at half-time from Phil Foden's header before a brilliant brace by Erling Haaland put the game to bed.
There was little sign of a comeback in the closing stages of the matches as City held on to record a comfortable home win and pile more misery on their local rivals. Amorim has not even been in the United role for a full year, but is under fresh pressure to keep his job after their abysmal start to the season.

Neville does not believe Amorim's job is under immediate pressure after the Manchester derby defeat, but believes it could come into question if they do not improve against Chelsea next weekend. In particular, he believes their reluctance to adapt tactically could cost the Portuguese head coach his job.
“I think there will be some pressure applied to the manager and his rigidity of sticking with the system," he told Sky Sports. “City have beaten them well and comfortably. United had some good moments in the game – the first 15 minutes and the first five minutes of the second half. City, in big moments, have had better players. Foden, Doku, Haaland have stood out.
“There have been times when I have seen United lose this type of match when I feel angry and frustrated. I just feel nothing, which is even worse. This has been a nothing of a performance. United have just been beaten.
“With Chelsea next week, another defeat and big questions would start to be asked.”
