Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has suffered what appears to be a significant ankle injury during Sunday’s Week 2 battle with the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars.
Burrow was brought down by Jaguars defensive lineman Arik Armstead, but remained on the turf in Cincinnati until he was met by trainers, who helped him off the field.
The former first-overall draft pick noticeably limped as he was taken to the locker room.
Bengals right guard Dalton Risner initially had good position on the play, but slipped on the Paycor Stadium turf, allowing Jags’ Armstead to take down Burrow by his ankles.
