The New York Jets were embarrassed by the Buffalo Bills in their second game of the season, revealing the significant gap between the two teams.
Josh Allen and the Bills looked like true contenders, while the Jets looked like a true work in progress. A week after looking like a promising team, the Jets regressed to what many thought they would be.
The Jets' offense looked terrible, and the defense was a letdown once again. Aaron Glenn needed just two words to sum up his thoughts on the loss.
"Very disappointed," Glen said twice at the podium after the game.
Glenn was not too happy at the podium last week either, despite the Jets putting up a solid performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He harped on the importance of not turning the ball over, and the team released Xavier Gibson after the game as well, sending a message that the Jets expect better from their players.
The Jets put the ball on the ground three times in this week's game, but ended up only losing one of the fumbles. To make matters worse, Justin Fields left the game early after hitting his head hard on the ground. He was reportedly being evaluated for a concussion.
The Jets will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week, and there is now a chance that they will be without their starting quarterback. Tyrod Taylor is the backup for Fields.
