Postgame Interaction Between Lamar Jackson, Joe Flacco Sparks Buzz

It's safe to say that quarterback Joe Flacco still holds a dear place in the hearts of Baltimore Ravens fans.

Flacco spent the first 11 seasons of his NFL career with the Ravens, who drafted him 18th overall back in 2008. During that span, Flacco led Baltimore to 96-67 record and one Super Bowl championship as the team's starter.

So when Flacco made his return to Baltimore Sunday as the Cleveland Browns' starting QB, it was an emotional moment for him and many of the fans in attendance at M&T Bank Stadium.

Flacco didn't have a memorable performance, however, completing just 25 of 45 passes for 199 yards, a touchdown, and an interception before being benched in the fourth quarter for rookie Dillon Gabriel, who completed all three of his passes for 19 yards and a touchdown.

On the other hand, QB Lamar Jackson, who the Ravens drafted No. 32 overall back in 2018 to replace Flacco, put up big numbers, throwing for 225 yards and four touchdowns in a dominant 41-17 win.

After the game, though, Jackson and Flacco shared a touching embrace that had fans on social media talking.

"This picture means everything to me," another added.

"This is so fire 🔥 two goats can coexist in Baltimore 🫶," a third fan expressed.

"Lamar's gratitude needs to be studied.....he always shows respect to those before him.....," one user noted.

"Mentor and Student, two of the franchise's greats," another user declared.

"I want to frame this," remarked one fan.

Jackson and Flacco were teammates on the Ravens during the 2018 season.

The latter went 4-5 as the starter, throwing for 2,465 yards, 12 touchdowns and six interceptions before giving way to Jackson, who threw for 1,201 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing for 695 yards and another five touchdowns while going 6-1 as the starter.
