Man United boss Ruben Amorim admitted his record as head coach is not good enough after his side lost 3-0 in the derby to rivals Man City on Sunday evening.
A header from Phil Foden put the home side 1-0 up 18 minutes into the game before a brace from Erling Haaland in the second half sealed victory for Pep Guardiola’s team.
Read below as we share our Man United player ratings for the humbling defeat at the Etihad.
Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Altay Bayindir – 5/10 – not at fault for any of the goals but he doesn’t instil confidence with his passing out from the back.
CB – Leny Yoro – 4/10 – the teenager was too tight to Jeremy Doku before City’s second goal. The inexperience he showed in that moment helped turn the game in City’s favour when United were getting back into it.
CB – Matthijs de Ligt – 4/10 – failed to keep up with Haaland and nearly gave a goal away with a terrible pass.
CB – Luke Shaw – 2/10 – just awful. Bypassed by Doku for the opener and then outmuscled by Haaland for the second.
