These Three Players Shined for Patriots in Divisional Win

The New England Patriots got a much-needed 33-27 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium.

It was a nice bounce back for the Patriots after a disappointing 20-13 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1. New England had contributions from all over the place Sunday, but performances from these three players stood out the most.

Antonio Gibson, RB

Gibson was responsible for what ended up being the game-winning score for New England. His 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown gave the Patriots a 30-27 lead with 7:06 remaining in the game.

He added 27 rushing yards on five carries, but it was the kickoff return that flipped the momentum toward New England and eventually helped it win the game.

Rhamondre Stevenson, RB

Stevenson is usually making plays in the ground game, and he added another layer of production Sunday. He finished the game with 54 rushing yards on 11 carries, but it was his five receptions for 88 yards that stood out.

The 88 receiving yards for Stevenson were his most in a game since 2022, and his 55-yard reception was the longest of his career.

Milton Williams, DL

After winning a Super Bowl with the Eagles last season, New England signed Williams to a hefty four-year, $104 million contract in the offseason and days like Sunday are why.

Williams finished with just three tackles, but it was the two sacks, two tackles for loss and game-clinching sack that helped him stand out. His presence on the defensive line is a major factor for the Patriots and should continue to succeed throughout the season.
