Leeds United have got to give Dominic Calvert-Lewin an opportunity to prove his worth if they are to have any chance of survival in the Premier League this season, says Ashley Williams. The Match of the Day pundit says Leeds' new striker is under "big pressure" to perform for the Whites and score the goals which will help keep them in the top flight.
However, the former Wales international also admits it is down to Calvert-Lewin's team-mates to do their part and ensure that the striker is seeing the ball enough and in the right areas. Against Fulham Calvert-Lewin struggled to impress, but was given little opportunity to do so in a difficult game.
While that may be the case, Williams says it is on Leeds and Calvert-Lewin to be more proactive and show more of a spark at the top end of the pitch if they are to pick up necessary victories throughout the campaign.

Speaking on Match of the Day, Williams said; “There is big, big pressure on Calvert-Lewin to deliver, to stay fit, to stay on the pitch but also they have to supply him. I think today he had one chance, the header, which he should have done better with.
“They’ve all got to chip in and create a lot more. Yes, unlucky with the result today but they were still only getting a point, they don’t look like they’re getting three points because they’re not creating enough.”
