Leeds United have not scored from open play in the Premier League this season, and their 1-0 defeat at Fulham on Saturday has sparked conversations around Dominic Calvert-Lewin and the rest of the team’s forwards.
Calvert-Lewin made his first start in the Premier League for Leeds on Saturday, but his performance was not good enough. He missed a good chance to score in the first half and was taken off for Lukas Nmecha in the second half.

Leeds have gambled big on the 28-year-old striker to shake off his injury concerns, but rekindle some of the form that got him into the England squad a few years back.
However, the reality is that he has scored just 18 times in the Premier League over the last four seasons, and concerns persist about the injuries taking a toll on his physicality, which was one of his main weapons when he was at his peak.

Leeds United warned about Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Former Premier League defender Ashley Williams has warned both Leeds and the striker about what could be in store for them this season.
He admitted that the former Everton forward is under real pressure at Leeds as he needs to deliver at Elland Road. However, the former defender also stressed that Leeds need to create more chances.
Williams conceded that while Calvert-Lewin should have taken his chance against Fulham, Leeds never really created enough, and the best they could have hoped for was a point at Craven Cottage.
He stressed that Leeds are not creating enough chances to win games this season.
“There is big, big pressure on Calvert-Lewin to deliver, to stay fit, to stay on the pitch, but also they have to supply him”, Williams said on Match of the Day.
“I think today he had one chance, the header, which he should have done better with.
“They’ve all got to chip in and create a lot more.
“Yes, unlucky with the result today, but they were still only getting a point; they don’t look like they’re getting three points because they’re not creating enough.”
