Ruben Amorim's future at Manchester United is once again under the spotlight after Sunday's defeat to Manchester City confirmed the club's worst start to a season since 1992/93.
After playing well, but losing to Arsenal, on the opening day of the season, United have only beaten Burnley in their opening four Premier League games. Their only other point came at Craven Cottage against Fulham.
The defeat at the Etihad Stadium means Amorim has now only won eight of his 31 league games in charge. In a table that consists of the league's ever-resent teams dating back to his appointment, United are bottom.
It has led to discussions over whether the Portuguese should remain in a job with little sign of improvement. Here, The Manchester Evening News brings you a round-up of what has been said regarding Amorim's future...
What Ruben Amorim has said
After the defeat at the Etihad, Amorim declared that United will have to change their manager if they want a different style of play. "Guys, I understand that and I accept," Amorim said on his record in charge.
"It is not a record you should have in Manchester United. There are a lot of things - you have no idea what happened during these months - but I accept that. I am not going to change.

"When I want to change my philosophy, I will change. If not, you have to change the man. We will talk about that every game that we lose. I don't believe in that, in the system, or whatever. I believe in my way and I am going to play my way until I want to change.
"My message is that I am going to give everything. I will do everything, always thinking about what is best for the club. That was always the same message.
"It is not my decision, the rest (on whether United change manager). Until I am here, I will do my best. I really want to win games. I am suffering more than them."
Sack timeline given
Gary Neville has claimed that questions will have to be asked about Amorim if United suffer their third defeat in five games against Chelsea on Saturday (5.30pm kick-off). “I think there will be some pressure applied to the manager and his rigidity of sticking with the system," he told Sky Sports.
“City have beaten them well and comfortably. United had some good moments in the game – the first 15 minutes and the first five minutes of the second half. City, in big moments, have had better players. Foden, Doku, Haaland have stood out.
“There have been times when I have seen United lose this type of match when I feel angry and frustrated. I just feel nothing, which is even worse.
"This has been a nothing of a performance. United have just been beaten. With Chelsea next week, another defeat and big questions would start to be asked.”
'It's not working'
Former Manchester City full-back Micah Richards had sympathy for Amorim after the derby defeat but did admit that what the United boss is doing is currently not working.
"I don't like talking about managers losing jobs and I never will because I don't think it's fair," he told Sky Sports. "But, obviously, what he is doing right now is not working. Since his first Premier League game he's got less points than some of the worst teams in the Premier League.

"If you are going to be at Man United it has to be better than that."
Roy Keane went on to admit that he is not convinced by United at the minute. "It's more hope than belief at this moment in time because we are watching them, we see them week in, week out," he said.
"Not convinced, I hope they can prove us wrong. My worry is if the players are not truly behind him in the way they are playing in this system because the results haven't been good enough. A big worry."
United have 'got worse'
Finally, Wayne Rooney has admitted that United have gone backwards under Amorim's stewardship. "I want to be as supportive and positive as I can be on the manager and the players," he said on The Wayne Rooney Show.
"But it is very difficult to sit here and say we are seeing progression, and at least we're seeing things that will get results in the near future. We're seeing none of that, and it is very difficult. There was an image towards the end of the game where I saw the Manchester United fans leaving.
"You could hear the fans singing Amorim's name, but I think that is so powerful that the United fans were leaving the game. You know the game is over and I think they were very disappointed in what they were seeing. It is hard to see how it continues.
"What are the patterns? What are we seeing what might improve the team moving forward?"
He added: "I think after the last year when Ten Hag got sacked and Ruben came in, we're hearing how they're going to play and it is going to change," said Rooney, who scored 253 goals for United between 2004 and 2017.
"I think if the manager is honest with himself, it has got worse."
