Marcus Rashford has issued a five-word message after enjoying his best moment in a Barcelona shirt since his season-long loan move from Manchester United.
The 27-year-old signed for Barca in the summer but had endured a slow start to life in the Catalan region, failing to register a goal or an assist in his opening three appearances.
However, Rashford stepped up to the mark and produced an excellent performance during Barcelona's 6-0 rout against Valencia on Sunday. After Fermin Lopez put Barca in front, Rashford created his side's second goal, whipping in a delightful cross for ex-Leeds United man Raphinha to tap home at the back post.
It was a pass that United fans had come synonymous to seeing from Rashford, who impressed against Valencia before he was taken off in the 68th minute. Indeed, he had 46 touches, created three chances, had two shots, completed four ball recoveries, won one foul and registered a 88 per cent pass accuracy.
And after helping Barcelona to a thumping success against Valencia, Rashford, who has 20.5million followers, took to Instagram to send a message to his new team's supporters. Alongside three images of him in action, he said: "What a night!! [blue circle emoji and red circle emoji]. Visca Barca."
Lopez and Raphinha scored another, while Robert Lewandowski came off the bench to net a brace and complete a perfect evening's work for Hansi Flick's side at the Johan Cruyff Stadium.
"From the beginning, we showed what we wanted to do, and that's what we've seen," Flick told Movistar post-match. "Not just Fermin, everyone has fought and had fun on the pitch."
"The team has been fantastic in every position. The three points are perfect, and for me it's great to have to choose between Ferran [Torres] and Lewandowski."
Barcelona are next in action when they make the trip to Newcastle United in the Champions League on Wednesday. Rashford has scored five goals and provided four assists in 15 appearances against the Magpies, winning nine and drawing two of them fixtures over the years.
