Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones practically had Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts shoved down his throat during the NFL teams’ Super Bowl LIX rematch on Sunday.
So at the end, as Hurts kneeled out the Eagles’ 20-17 victory, Jones yelled at Hurts: “You didn’t even have 100 yards.”
As he prepared to take the snap, Hurts replied: “We won the (expletive) game. Shut your ass up.”

Hurts picked up three first downs on third-and-1 snaps and a first down and a touchdown on fourth-and-1 snaps on Sunday with Philadelphia’s special brand of the quarterback sneak – the massive push up the middle known alternately as the Tush Push and the Brotherly Shove.
In May, the team owners voted on a proposal that would have made the Eagles’ type of quarterback sneak illegal. Twenty-two of the 32 team owners voted to outlaw the play, but NFL bylaws require 24 to make the change.
Hurts ran for two touchdowns in Philadelphia’s season-opening 24-20 victory against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 4. With Sunday’s score, the former Alabama signal-caller has 58 career rushing touchdowns, the third-most among quarterbacks in NFL history.
Jones, a six-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro, wasn’t far off with his remark, though. In a close-to-the-vest game on Sunday, Hurts completed 15-of-22 passes for 101 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions.
The 2-0 Eagles play the Los Angeles Rams at noon CDT Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia in Week 3 of the NFL’s 2025 season.
At 0-2 for the first time since 2014, Kansas City plays the New York Giants at 7:20 p.m. Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
