Iron Maiden legend Bruce Dickinson belted out the US national anthem on Sunday 14th September ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ home opener against the Seattle Seahawks.
After being introduced, Bruce was met with huge cheers from the 66,000-strong capacity crowd at the Acrisure Stadium, and he proceeded to sing The Star-Spangled Banner in his trademark vocal style before helicopters flew above the stadium.
Sharing video footage of his performance last night, Bruce said: “Thank you to everyone at the NFL and all of the fans at the Steelers vs Seahawks game today… that was a huge honour!”
Dickinson previously rehearsed The Star-Spangled Banner at his Pittsburgh concert on Saturday night.

After singing in sunny Pittsburgh, Bruce made the four-hour journey to The Fillmore Silver Spring in Maryland for the latest show of his rapturously received Mandrake Project North American tour on Sunday.
Bruce hits Canada later this week and he concludes his North American trek at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Sunday 5th October.
In case you're wondering, Bruce didn't prove to be a good luck omen for Pittsburgh Steelers - they lost the game 17 - 31. Ouch.
