Knicks to work out two frontcourt veterans ahead of camp

NBA training camp is just around the corner, and the New York Knicks are still filling out their roster.

Teams can bring up to 21 players into camp with them, and the Knicks currently have 12.

According to Stefan Bondy of the New York Post, New York is doing their due diligence on several available free agents.

Knicks to Work Out Alex Len, Trey Jamison III

After reporting the Knicks would be working out former lottery pick Dennis Smith Jr., Bondy also reported that they would be taking a look at centers Alex Len and Trey Jamison III.

SNY's Ian Begley was first to report on the Knicks' interest in Jamison, who spent most of last season with the Los Angeles Lakers alongside Len.

Jamison has spent only two years in the NBA, but has bounced around between four different teams, including the Washington Wizards, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, and the Lakers.

Meanwhile, Len, the former No. 5 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, is a 12-year NBA veteran and played for New York's first-year head coach, Mike Brown, with the Sacramento Kings from 2022-24.

The Knicks will be hoping that they won't have to rely on the two veterans once the regular season rolls around, but considering centers Mitchell Robinson and Ariel Hukporti missed significant time with injury last season, it's important New York has a contingency plan if disaster strikes.

Even if the Knicks sign the aforementioned players, they will still have to find six more camp bodies to round out their preseason roster.
