Fans were very quick to react to this video:
Why are the Dallas fans upset for honoring Charlie Kirk? Please, let him rest in peace and continue to pray for his wife, Erika and they’re two small children.

That quote attributed to Charlie Kirk is deeply offensive and racially charged

Conservative activist Kirk speaks during a campaign rally for Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) at Generation Church Mesa Campus on Sept. 4, 2024.
There were special recognitions during games by nine NFL teams:
Dallas was among the first to honor Kirk, joined by the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, and New Orleans Saints. The Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, and Arizona Cardinals also participated.
The Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees paid their respects in Major League Baseball, while college programs such as South Carolina, LSU, and Wyoming held ceremonies before games. The UFC and NASCAR organized their own tributes, underscoring Kirk’s reach across diverse sports.
The White House statement praised organizations for “honoring a figure who championed the values that unite us all.” Officials noted Kirk’s “enduring legacy” and “remarkable impact” on American culture.
The coordinated tributes marked an unusual display of unity across competing sports leagues. Each organization crafted its memorial to reflect Kirk’s connection to their fanbase.
