But when Claret & Hugh asked our top transfer source whether there was any likelihood of McKenna stepping in, we were swiftly told it was a non-starter: “That’s hilarious, where has that story come from? Not a chance.”
The source could not confirm whether the Tractor Boys boss was in attendance at the London Stadium following his side’s 5-0 demolition of Sheffield United on Friday. Nonetheless, he was certain McKenna was not in line for the West Ham job.
He also reiterated that José Mourinho was not under consideration either—but confirmed Potter urgently needs a result.
