Former Warriors Star Trolls Draymond Green on Social Media

Former Golden State Warriors guard Jordan Poole liked an Instagram post that mocked current Warrior Draymond Green's basketball skills.

The Instagram video showed Green playing recreational basketball, and it boasted a caption saying, "Draymond Green is terrible at basketball."

Poole's social media action comes years after Green punched Poole in the face when both were playing in the Bay Area during the 2022 season.

A video leaked, which showed Poole shoving Green after exchanging words, leading to Green's punch to his teammate.

This incident dates back to October 2022, in the middle of training camp.

The Warriors were on the back of an NBA title victory, with Poole playing a key role on the team.

Poole and Green stayed on the team in the aftermath of the altercation for the 2023 season, though the team's locker room was never the same.

Following the Warriors' elimination in the Western Conference semifinals, the former Michigan guard was traded to the Washington Wizards in a deal for Chris Paul.

Since splitting with the Warriors, Poole addressed the situation, most recently back in January when Golden State played against the Wizards.

"Yeah, I love those guys over there. I love most of those guys over there," Poole told reporters after the game.

"A really good group. A really good staff. Shout out to the fans. I saw a lot of 3 jerseys out there, a lot of JP3 jerseys, which is always really cool. I always get a lot of love [here]. I spent some good quality time here, and it's dope to see it appreciated."

In response to these comments, Green wrote on X, "I really am sorry."

Then, he explained his decision to apologize and explained what happened from his perspective on "The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis."

"I responded because it's been three years," Green said.

"Like, let's move on. We've moved on. I really am sorry. That statement [by Poole] was kind of like it was looking for some sympathy ... kind of keep wanting to make me out to be the bad guy. Move on, bro. It is what it is.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have punched him. But it happened. Let's move on. I kind of go back and forth with this.

"I know I was wrong, but you can't call a man a B-word and push him and not get hit, either. So, I kind of sit in both of those spaces sometimes. Like, the reality is, the answer is probably somewhere in the middle, right?

"I shouldn't have knocked him out like that. If anything, I should have hemmed him up. It kind of was just a natural reaction."

While Green is ready to move on from the incident, it appears Poole has yet to fully let things go based on his latest decision to like said Instagram post.
