76ers Forward Sends Harsh Message to Philadelphia Amid Trade Rumors

Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. took to social media to call out the team's fan base, claiming he is not "feeling the love."

Over the summer, Oubre Jr. exercised his $8.4 million player option for the upcoming season, securing his spot on the roster for at least one more year.

The 30-year-old averaged 15.1 points on 47 percent shooting, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.5 steals over 60 games last season.

Despite picking up his option, rumors have circulated that suggest he could be traded elsewhere.

In response to rumors and chatter around his future on the team, the forward posted on Instagram, calling out fans who did not appreciate his contributions.

"I love Philly, but the love doesn't seem to be reciprocated," Oubre Jr. wrote on Instagram.

"What happened to this place? And for those saying I'm garbage because my 3% went down. $till put up numbers and I'd $Till cook you.

"I played through finger surgery's on my (left hand) thumb and pinky for three years, but $Till put my soul in this s***. That's one thing only GOD can take from me. Hope to see ya'll soon. Godspeed."

What is Kelly Oubre Jr.'s Future with the Sixers?

The Sixers still have a massive pending free agent on the market. Quentin Grimes is a restricted free agent who has not agreed to sign a new deal with Philly or take up his qualifying offer either.

With no team left with enough cap space, Grimes will be forced to sign a long-term deal with the Sixers or choose to go with the qualifying offer and enter unrestricted free agency next season.

If the Sixers traded Oubre Jr., that would free up some space for a Grimes deal to get done.

During a live stream on Bleacher Report, NBA insider Jake Fischer reported that the Sixers were shopping the forward.

"There has been buzz all summer long about the Sixers looking to potentially move one of, if not both, Andre Drummond and Kelly Oubre," he said.

Despite remaining productive, the Sixers have options at the forward positions, including second-year man Justin Edwards, who could get an expanded role.

Time will tell if the Sixers find a worthwhile deal; however, training camp could become awkward if relationships are not mended.
