Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe reveals secret skill that allows him to be fully focused on …

**There aren't many people who take their job as seriously as Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe. The man is a self-confessed workaholic.**

After Eddie Howe was sacked as Bournemouth manager, his plan was to take a break from football, but he ended up travelling around Europe to shadow some of the game's best managers, learning all he could from them.

When he joined Newcastle, it was quickly noted that Howe was always the first one in and the last to leave the training ground every day.

Eddie Howe has completed an interview with Sky Sports, where he answered a few questions on his working habits.

Eddie Howe has an uncanny ability to fall asleep quickly

Howe joked that the one thing that has always followed him into every office in every job has been Jason Tindall. Later in the Unpacked interview, Howe was asked what his routine was like before an away game.

> "Thankfully, I'm a really good sleeper, and I need to be because my days are intense and action-packed. If I didn't sleep well, I think that would have a detrimental effect on my ability to perform.

> "I go to sleep really quickly as well. I've always had that natural gift, which I really appreciate, and I don't want it to change."

Eddie Howe will watch game after game to study his upcoming opponents

In the interview, Howe also admitted that he will watch three to five games of his upcoming opponents to work out his tactics for the game ... and that's for teams he knows well.

When it's an unknown team, he will watch more. That's dedication and passion. Imagine having to watch five or more West Ham games in a row!

This work ethic is exactly what makes Eddie Howe so good, though, so we hope he can keep it going for as long as he's at Newcastle.
