Nottingham Forest have endured a turbulent start to the 2025/26 campaign.
Ange Postecoglou has replaced Nuno Espirito Santo as the Forest head coach, and the Reds have collected just four points from as many games this season.
Espirito Santo had a fallout with Edu, and after slagging off Evangelos Marinakis in public, the writing was pretty much on the wall.
Forest might have just replaced their head coach, but it might not be long before Marinakis and Edu are seeking another hire at the City Ground.

Benfica could pinch the Head of Recruitment from Nottingham Forest
Pedro Ferreira was one of the catalysts for such a brilliant transfer window for Forest this summer.
Now, according to Sport Informa in Portugal, Benfica will move to appoint Ferreira for a second time should Noronha Lopes be elected as the club’s new President.
Ferreira will find out if Lopes gets the nod in October, and ultimately, if Forest do lose him, it would represent a real blow.
It’s believed that Ferreira is happy to return to Benfica and is now merely waiting for the seal of approval from the Portuguese giants.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Forest are waiting for their new players to hit top form this season and under Postecoglou’s management, the attacking approach to games could get the very best out of the players signed by Ferreira.
Edu needs contingency for Ferreira departure
Forest have vastly improved their recruitment in recent windows, focusing on young players with bags of resale value.
Anthony Elanga moved to Newcastle in the summer, and he was replaced by Dan Ndoye, Omari Hutchinson and the very talented Dilane Bakwa.
Ferreira isn’t solely responsible for incoming activity, but nonetheless, he’s been instrumental behind the scenes.
With that in mind, it’s imperative that Edu has a contingency plan, with Ferreira very keen to move to Portugal and Ross Wilson being eyed by Newcastle.
Recruitment is key for a club like Forest, and now names need to be placed on a list in the eventuality of Ferreira departing in the near future.
