Indianapolis, IND. (KKTV) - The Denver Broncos fall to 1-1 on the season after losing to the Colts 29-28 in Indianapolis.
The Broncos had an 28-23 third quarter lead after Bo Nix threw three first half touchdowns. But a costly interception in the 4th quarter, and kicker Wil Lutz missing an 42 yard field goal let the Colts hang in the game, and win it off of a 45 yard field goal from Spencer Shrader as time expires.
Colts quarterback Daniel Jones picked apart the Broncos defense having 316 passing yards and two total touchdowns. Running back Jonathan Taylor also broke free for 167 rushing yards.
Offensively for the Broncos, Troy Franklin had 8 catches for 89 yards and a touchdown. Bo Nix had 206 passing yards and three touchdowns.
The Broncos will head to the Chargers next Sunday in LA.
