Leeds United have now lost another game on the road this season. That makes it now two Premier League away games where the Whites have failed to secure a result.
In contrast to their away form, their home form has been formidable this season. Leeds have four points from two games against Everton and Newcastle at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke’s side thought they were set to take a point away from London on Saturday night, but a late own goal decided their fate. Leeds sat back too much in the second half, allowing Marco Silva to change the game with his substitutes.

Farke’s side have played five games this season, and have failed to score in three of them. Only one goal so far has been scored by an attacking player at the club, and that was a penalty.
The Leeds boss knows about the woes in front of goal, but is adamant that a fit Dominic Calvert-Lewin can change their fortunes:
“I’m pleased to have Dominic. More than 250 Premier League games, more than 60 goals, England caps, goals for England. If he would have been in his best shape in the last two years, he wouldn’t be a free agent,” Farke said.
“You never normally get a player of his calibre at a newly promoted team because it’s these types of players, quality players, that are never out of contract. We are pretty blessed we got him.
“Of course we need a bit of patience. He was only ready to start now, first start under his belt and he will just grow from there because he’s an excellent striker.
“He has also shown what he can do if he stays fit and stays with this consistency. He will need to play a crucial role for our survival bid. We need him in top form and top shape in order to achieve our goals.”
How did Calvert-Lewin fare against Fulham?
The thing with the former Everton man is that he seems to be the only one that can get into goalscoring positions. But when he does, the outcome is the same. Calvert-Lewin does not seem to have shaken off that horrid debut against Sheffield Wednesday. He missed the only big chance that came his way, just over 15 minutes into the game, and did almost nothing else after that.
If the performance at Fulham is anything to go by, Leeds have a long way to go this season.
