On Sunday, the world lost boxing legend and City fan Ricky Hatton.

Known as ‘The Hitman’, the iconic British boxer is one of the most compelling fighters to grace the sport. He won 45 of his 48 professional bouts across an illustrious 15-year career.
When he wasn’t captivating his global fanbase in the ring, he was finding as many ways as possible to support his beloved football team, Manchester City.
Hatton used Blue Moon as his walkout song, and he danced around the ring in sky blue shorts. A local lad, born in Stockport, he became known as one of the most exemplary figures of boxing, winning world titles at welterweight and light-welterweight.
He even fulfilled a lifelong dream when we fought Juan Lazcano at the Etihad Stadium.
On Sunday, at the place he loved to visit so much, City and United fans joined together at the Etihad to remember Hatton prior to kick-off.
His presence at City will be sorely missed, and he will always be remembered.
