SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - MGM Springfield is recognizing Responsible Gaming Education Month to make sure people remain within their limits, while taking part in gambling.
The casino, along with the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, held a special event at the BetMGM Sportsbook Monday afternoon.
They were joined by GameSense advisors who ensured that players have the tools, resources, and guidance they need to make informed choices and enjoy gaming in a safe, balanced way.
Western Mass News spoke with MGM Springfield Compliance Director Daniel Miller Monday to hear why player education is so important... Especially this season.
“The NFL season has just kicked off, we don’t want our players to fumble, we certainly want them to see it through, we want them to get their touchdown, and that touchdown could be a jackpot, or it could be taking a few minutes away from a machine just to feel a little bit better about themselves, come back, and feel refreshed.” Said Miller.
There is a GameSense center at MGM Springfield so if you or someone you know needs help, just walk right up to that counter and speak with one of their advisors or speak to any gaming staff.
