The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be missing several of their superstar players headed into their first prime time showdown of the year with a Week 2 Monday Night Football road game against the Houston Texans but ended up managing to keep another key player off the inactives report.

After a week of going back and forth over a foot injury suffered in a season opening win over the Atlanta Falcons, the Buccaneers did not include standout right offensive tackle Luke Goedeke among their inactives.

The Buccaneers included on the inactives report were NFL All-Pro left offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs, NFL All-Pro wide receiver Chris Godwin, tight end Devin Culp, wide receiver Tez Johnson, running back Josh Williams and safety Rashad Wisdom.

From Buccaneers.com on September 15: “Luke Goedeke, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ starting right tackle, missed most of the week of practice and had to pass a pregame assessment by the team’s trainers but he is going to suit up on Monday night against the Houston Texans. Goedeke had sustained a foot injury in the Buccaneers’ season-opening win at Atlanta but his availability prevents further shuffling of the team’s offensive line.”

Graham Barton, who started 16 games at center as a rookie in 2024, has been filling in for Wirfs while he’s out with a knee injury.
