Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered a sprained knee in Thursday’s loss to the Green Bay Packers, according to multiple reports on Monday.
The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year could miss Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, though team officials are reportedly not concerned about his long-term health.
Daniels appeared to injure his leg in the fourth quarter of the game in Green Bay. He was seen grabbing at the knee during the final drives and limped through the end of the game without missing any snaps.
The Commanders had three consecutive days off following the Week 2 defeat. They returned to the facility on Monday morning for film study and will practice on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
If Daniels is unable to play Sunday, backup quarterback Marcus Mariota will likely lead the offense.
