Betting The Bucs (Week 2 Edition)

September 15th, 2025

Rachaad White is back.

Joe wasn’t touching anything with tonight’s game until it became official at 5:30 p.m. that right tackle Luke Goedeke is playing.

Thankfully, he is.

Disclaimer: Don’t bet if losing will ruin your day, week, month or year.

Betting The Bucs is a window into Joe’s pregame wagers tied to Tampa Bay. Joe would say it’s all in fun, but this is serious business.

(In-game betting allows for the processing of better information, but Joe cannot take that on in this space.)

Sports betting is legal in Florida but there’s only one sportsbook blessed by the government, Hard Rock Bet. And that’s where Joe is pulling betting lines.

Good luck! This year, Joe will track pick results and money results. The latter is what’s most important, of course.

Joe focused on season wagers last week (so far, so good) and also picked Rachaad White to get 25+ receiving yards against the Falcons at +200. That cost Joe a cool $50. In Atlanta, the Bucs just about ignored White, one of their top weapons. His three total touches were the fewest he’s had since early in his rookie year.

Joe is going back to the well with White tonight at over 1.5 catches, and Joe is doubling up. The Bucs’ screen game is likely to come out in the face of the Texans’ beastly pass rush, and Baker Mayfield vows to take the checkdown throws he passed on last week.

Also, more White on the field is likely given his pass-blocking prowess.

Joe also took a little piece of the Bucs’ line as the underdog giving -125. Too tempting at +3 for Tampa Bay.

Good luck!
