Bills HC Sean McDermott gives early injury report ahead of Thursday night matchup vs. Dolphins

Fresh off a convincing 30-10 road victory over the Jets, the Bills have a short week before facing the Dolphins on Thursday Night Football. Buffalo held a walk-thru practice Monday afternoon to begin their preparation.

Head coach Sean McDermott offered updates on a number of players in regards to their injury status.

LB MATT MILANO

Milano didn't participate in Monday's walk-thru due to a pectoral injury suffered during Sunday's win at the Jets and his status for the rest of the week is uncertain.

"Don't know yet. We'll see," McDermott said when asked if it was a longterm injury.

Milano left the Jets game in the second half and wasn't given an official injury designation until today. If Milano isn't available in Week 3, expect third-year linebacker Dorian Williams to fill that spot. Williams has stepped up the past two seasons when Milano has dealt with other injuries and the team has full confidence in his ability with McDermott citing "overall" growth in the Tulane product.

"It's knowledge of the defense, understanding the nuances to playing linebacker in the NFL, I would say those two things for sure," McDermott said of Williams. "Dorian has always been a go-getter, physical, his work ethic is off the charts. And now you're starting to see some of the fruits of his labor."
