The Buffalo Bills are on a short week heading into Week 3 where they will host the Miami Dolphins. Coming off a 20-point win against the New York Jets, the Bills are feeling great at 2-0. They look like the best team in football led by the best quarterback in the league.
In addition, the defense looked solid against the Jets, allowing only 154 total yards and making the Jets look absolutely foolish. Overall, Buffalo’s defense proved that they can be a difference maker. However, the Bills received troubling news from Sean McDermott about one of their star players in Matt Milano.
Bills face tough reality with reported Matt Milano injury
According to Joe Buscaglia, Sean McDermott said that Milano is dealing with a “pectoral injury” and that McDermott didn’t know if it would be longer or term as of now.
Bills HC Sean McDermott said LB Matt Milano is dealing with a pectoral injury. When asked if he anticipates it being a longer term injury, McDermott said he didn't know yet.

This is unfortunately a familiar scene involving Milano, where he is dealing with an injury that could keep him out, or keep him from being at 100% health. Throughout his career, Milano has dealt with injuries that have kept him out for a game or two. But then in 2023, Milano suffered his first major injury when he suffered a lower leg injury that ended his season.
Then in 2024 prior to Week 1, Milano suffered a torn bicep that kept him out of action until Week 13 of last season. So, that’s back-to-back major injuries where he missed a lot of time. Now, just two games into the season, he is reportedly dealing with a pectoral injury. This is not a good sign for Milano or the Bills defense.
Bills fans know that Milano on the field makes the defense better and if this injury becomes something long-term, it could be a factor in the Bills’ defense giving up big plays and being the difference maker in game outcomes.
It’s something you never want to see, but it has become a growing theme over the last few seasons with Milano. Stay tuned for more updates as Week 3 approaches.
