Mourinho or Nuno: Who should be West Ham’s next manager?

**Mourinho or Nuno: Who should be West Ham’s next manager?**

Graham Potter is now on thin ice at West Ham. Once again, the board’s refusal to spend money on a manager has come back to bite them and they’ll spend more on sacking him than they would’ve if they actually paid compensation for someone in work.

However, the free market for managers at the minute is actually very interesting, with two Portuguese managers standing out in particular

Both Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo are currently out of work, and their two names that West Ham fans would be rather happy with. It does beg the question of who would be the better option?

For me, the answer is simple. Nuno would still be in a job if it wasn’t for the ego of Nottingham Forest’s owner. Not only that, but he was seen as one of the most impressive overachievers. He’s clearly shown he’s capable of doing a top job and would be perfect for a club like West Ham.

While Mourinho wouldn’t be my first choice, this doesn’t mean I’m against him. Yes he is far too defensive, and his tactics don’t have the same effect they once did, but he’s still a top manager. The passion, the drama, and the intensity he’d bring would make it one of the most entertaining periods to be a Hammer, of that I’m sure.
