Browns General Manager Andrew Berry has put all his eggs into the same offensive-line players for several years now. Those eggs are rotten, old and need to be replaced. Without adequate time, no quarterback will be successful under Head Coach Kevin Stefanski’s passing scheme.
Berry and his team have demonstrated again their inability to draft offensive linemen. Former Browns offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. failed as a top pick. Dawand Jones is struggling at left tackle, and last year’s third-round pick from Michigan, Zak Zinter, has been on the inactive list the past two weeks.
It does not help that the receivers do not get much separation from the defensive players.
