It was a brilliant goal from Scott in a standout overall performance from the Englishman.
He received the ball just outside the box from Antoine Semenyo before turning across the top of the area and smashed a powerful shot into the back of the net past Bart Verbruggen.

That was Scott’s first goal in a Cherries shirt since January 2024, when he scored against Swansea in the FA Cup, and his first in the Premier League since December 2023, when he netted at Spurs.
The 22-year-old has made a good start to the season, starting in every game for Bournemouth so far and impressing with his performances.

Asked if his finishing was something Iraola and his coaching staff have been working on with Scott, the Basque boss said: “I think we try to work with every player, try to improve them.
“But they are the ones making the performances. I think [Scott] is someone that has this threat from the edge.
