Coming into the Manchester derby, both United and City clubs were desperately needing a win after poor starts to the season, but it was Man City who came away with three points as they won 3-0 in what turned out to be a comfortable afternoon for Pep Guardiola’s side.
It leaves City eighth in the Premier League table, and hopeful they can go on a run of wins, with games against Arsenal, Burnley and Brentford coming up. Meanwhile, things don’t look good at United, with manager Ruben Amorim under increasing pressure after yet another poor performance.
United have won just one in four games this season, leaving them on four points and 14th in the table. It doesn’t get any easier for United either, as their next game is against an impressive Chelsea side who are unbeaten after four matches in the league this season.
