Everton are set to travel to Anfield on Saturday to take on Liverpool in the first Merseyside derby of the season.

The Toffees will be cautiously optimistic for the match after their great start to the new campaign.

On top of this, Liverpool have struggled in many of their opening matches, albeit winning all four league games so far through late winners.

As a result, there is a hope that Everton can finally end their curse at Anfield on Saturday and finally achieve bragging rights.

The Toffees have only won 84 matches, whereas the Reds have come out on top in 126, with 87 ending in draws.

Everton’s recent record against the Reds is also horrific, with David Moyes’ side only winning two games against Liverpool since 2011.
