Leeds travel to Wolves this Saturday looking for their first away win of the season.

Off the back of Leeds’ 1-0 defeat against Fulham last time out, the Whites are back on the road this weekend to face Wolves at Molineux.

Neither side have had a great start to the season, though the fact that Wolves are yet to pick up a point will give Daniel Farke and his side a sense of optimism.

With Leeds still among the favourites for relegation this season, these are the types of games you simply have to win, though Opta’s supercomputer has different ideas.

Leeds United underdogs vs bottom-placed Wolves

Despite the season being just four games young, Vitor Pereira is already facing the pressure at Wolves, having failed to pick up a point after a poor start to the campaign.

The visitors have picked up four, though three of those arrived at the start of the season when Leeds secured a 1-0 win over Everton at Elland Road.

Given the start to the campaign, many would give Leeds a good chance of taking all three points this weekend, but the supercomputer has not.

Via Opta, the Whites have just a 25.6 per cent chance of a win at Molineux, while the hosts are clear favourites with a likelihood of winning of 48.7 per cent.

Aside from Everton, Sunderland and Manchester City, Leeds are the least favourite to win a game in the Premier League this weekend.

How have Leeds fared vs Wolves in the past?

Dating back 104 years, these two sides have faced off against each other on 104 occasions, and it is Leeds United who have had the last laugh on more occasions.

The Whites have won 45 of those encounters, including three of the last four.

Leeds wins – 45

Draws – 23

Wolves wins – 36

2023 was the last meeting, with a 4-2 away win for Leeds courtesy of goals from Jack Harrison, Luke Ayling, Rasmus Kristensen and Rodrigo.

Before those three wins, Leeds went six years without a win against Wolves, with half of those encounters in the Championship.

Given the season so far, Leeds certainly have a chance of winning this weekend, but they will need to be on their game.
