The hot start of the Green Bay Packers to their 2025 NFL campaign has everyone buzzing, and many already believe that the NFC North franchise can go all the way and win the Super Bowl.
Convincing wins against the Detroit Lions in Week 1 and versus the Washington Commanders in Week 2 have bolstered the confidence of Green Bay’s fans in their team. That’s definitely understandable, especially since those wins were against teams that clinched playoff berths in the 2024 NFL campaign. That’s not to mention the trade that landed the Packers a superstar pass rusher in the form of Micah Parsons, who many believe is the missing piece needed by Green Bay to bring the Vince Lombardi Trophy back to Titletown.
All that being said, the season is still very young. The NFL landscape can also betray even the surest of expectations.

For Green Bay defensive back Xavier McKinney, being 2-0 to start a season essentially means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
“You can’t feel like you’ve won the Super Bowl. Because it’s a lot of mother f****** that start off 2-0, and late in the season they don’t be worth s***”, Dave Schroeder told reporters (h/t Dave Schroeder of WBAY-TV Green Bay.

Still, it’s undeniable that Green Bay has played great football overall through the first two weeks of the season while being matched up against quality teams.
At the same time, McKinney is also correct that Green Bay can’t rest on its laurels just because it won two straight games to open a season.
Up next for the Packers is a Week 3 showdown on the roadversus Joe Flacco and the 0-2 Cleveland Browns before facing off against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4 in Arlington.
