Manchester United youngster Dan Gore deserves a little credit for getting his loan spell off to a positive start.
The previous two years in succession, Dan Gore left Manchester United on loan during the January transfer window, looking to gain first team experience.
The 20-year-old’s two loans were cut short by injuries, that led to him playing a total of just four games combined.
This time the midfielder secured his loan to Rotherham United at the start of the campaign, and the early signs are promising.

Dan Gore is now racking up loan minutes
Dan Gore’s simple task on his latest loan was to start accumulating playing time and remaining injury-free, and he is succeeding so far.
Gore has already played in nine games in all competitions for Rotherham, where he has played a total of 603 minutes. This is more than double his two previous loan stints combined.
Just one month into a long season, Gore’s situation is looking promising. He is getting opportunities to play, and so long as he stays fit, this loan will be crucial for his development.

Gore made his first team debut for Manchester United in 2023, at a stage when Mainoo had made only three senior appearances of his own.
But while Mainoo has gone on to feature regularly for the first team for club and country, Gore is yet to add to his one and only first team performance.
Gore is a balanced midfielder who can impact the game in attack and defence, on and off the ball, with one of his former youth coaches comparing him to Roy Keane.
After bad luck previously, Gore needed this loan spell to be a success, for the sake of his own future prospects, irrespective of whether he has a chance at United or not.
One month into the season, Gore could not ask for much more. The only threat to watch beyond injury is the fact his side are struggling in 18th place out of 24 teams in League One.
A managerial change could lead to a change of thinking, which could impact negatively on him.
