The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-0 with an NFC East rivalry win over the Dallas Cowboys and now a road victory against the Kansas Chiefs in a Super Bowl LIX rematch. Pretty good.
But while some players stood out in the 20-17 win over the Chiefs, others struggled. Let’s take a look at whose stock is up and whose stock is down entering Week 3.
**Stock up: CB Adoree’ Jackson**
Jackson’s stock couldn’t go anywhere but up after his brutal Week 1 vs. CeeDee Lamb and the Cowboys, allowing five catches for 103 yards, per Pro Football Focus. But the 29-year-old outside corner settled in against the short-handed Chiefs, allowing three catches for 26 yards on five targets. The Chiefs were without Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice. But still an improvement.
**Stock down: TE Grant Calcaterra**
Among the 28 tight ends with at least 15 run-blocking snaps in Week 2, Calcaterra’s 41.7 PFF grade ranked 27th. The only tight end behind him was Arizona’s Trey McBride, who had six catches for 78 yards. McBride can get away with not being a great blocker. Calcaterra can’t. If Dallas Goedert is sidelined again vs. the Rams, Calcaterra will need to buckle down.
**Stock up: DT Moro Ojomo**
Ojomo is living up to the sky-high expectations set after an impressive training camp. The 2023 seventh-round pick was immense against Kansas City, logging a sack and pressuring Patrick Mahomes six times. Ojomo’s six pressures were the second-most by an interior defensive lineman in Week 2 and his pass-rush win rate was fourth-best (22.2%).
**Stock down: EDGE Azeez Ojulari**
For the second week in a row, Ojulari was a healthy scratch. The 2021 second-round pick who signed a prove-it deal this offseason isn’t a part of the plans right now. That’s especially true with new signing Za’Darius Smith making an immediate impact.
**Stock up: K Jake Elliott**
Elliott was 1 of 7 on field goal attempts of 50 yards or more last season. Through two games, he’s 3 for 3, converting from 51, 54 and 58 yards. The 2023 All-Pro has been money.
**Stock down: A.J. Brown**
It’s through no real fault of his own; Brown is still one of the best receivers in the NFL. But it’s hard not to have his arrow pointing down through two weeks. After a one-catch showing vs. the Cowboys, Brown was targeted eight times in Kansas City, catching five passes for 27 yards. But they were all pretty much the same play: a predictable quick slant. Offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo has to find better ways for the three-time All-Pro receiver to be involved.
