Brentford’s Yehor Yarmolyuk has ended up on Manchester United’s transfer agenda.
That’s at least what Ukrainian journalist Volodymyr Zverov reported on YouTube channel Profutbol Digital, and Dynamo.Kiev.ua have relayed his comments focusing on the Red Devils.
According to the journalist, Manchester United have keen interest in the Brentford player and have been presented an opportunity to bring him to Old Trafford.
He adds Brentford are open to cashing in from the Ukraine international’s sale and they have also set a price.
“I know about the very serious interest of Manchester United in the Ukrainian footballer,” he said.
“United definitely need to fix the problems in the midfield. And Brentford isn’t the club that will do everything in their power to keep Yarmolyuk, and they are ready to consider offers for the midfielder from £30m. United can be called a serious contender for Yarmolyuk.”
Zverov hasn’t specifically mentioned whether Ruben Amorim’s side are looking at the 21-year-old for January or next summer, if they are willing to meet Brentford’s request and when [January or next summer] the Bees would be open to selling him.
Brentford signed the player from SC Dnipro-1 in July 2022 and he played 71 games so far, operating mainly in the middle of the pitch. Kieth Andrews replaced Thomas Frank in the summer, and Yarmolyuk has maintained his place in the Bees’ starting lineup this season.
Back in May, Yarmolyuk signed a new contract until 2031, with an option for another year, and Brentford could demand more than £30m if Manchester United were to make an approach to sign him.
