AFC Bournemouth returned from the international break on a high after the impressive victory away to Tottenham Hotspur.
Up next, Brighton & Hove Albion, in the all Premier League south coast derby.
The Cherries were forced into a change, with Diakite, who has impressed in the centre of defence alongside Marcos Senesi, unavailable due to illness. This handed new signing Veljko Milosavljevic his debut.
The Serbian became AFC Bournemouth’s youngest ever player in the Premier League, having only turned 18 in June.

After the match, AFC Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola told Sky Sports…
“Very happy with the win because we value this win against a very good team. The game went – some moments for us, for them. It was not clear what was going to happen at the end.”
“It was a difficult position because we like what we saw (from Veljko Milosavljevic) but he has played with us just three days. He has the rhythm and he comes in good form. Everything went well with him.”
“It’s a good start, it’s a good amount of points but still we have our moment’s We will make mistakes. We need to build still. Everyone is getting more minutes but every game is costing us a lot. We are managing well but if we don’t keep the focus these small details can go the other way. We have to stay humble.”

Three wins out of four and three wins in a row is a first for our club at the start of the season in all our time in the Premier League.
We also saw a cracking opening goal from Alex Scott from a pass from Antoine Semenyo. Scott worked hard while on the pitch.
They came back early in the second half with a sucker punch goal involving their two wingers, with Minteh crossing for Mitoma to score at the far post.
But the Cherries took the lead from the penalty spot after Evanilson was brought down in the box. Antoine Semenyo coolly beating the keeper.
Thought young Veljko Milosavljevic had a good game after one or two misplaced passes early in the game. He settled down and played safety first, finding either one of his players or his keeper and really grew in confidence as the game progressed.
Just like when another young player came into our side by the name of Dean Huijsen and made the centre back position his, the young Serbian today made a good impression in his centre back position.
The majority of the 11,167 crowd went home with a big
:grinning:
on their faces.
High praise from the boss 👏

Special mention for Peter Bankes, who put in an Anthony Taylor vs Chelsea, rabbit in the headlights performance, totally losing control of the game for 20 minutes and letting Milner do his job for him.
Would have booked a corner flag at one point if it were sporting a Cherries shirt.
Hopefully, for the rest of the league, they give him a couple of weeks off for a lie down.

Must admit I was a bit concerned with our prospects this season. Losing so many top-notch players, as well as injuries to other key players. But we have been brilliant so far, new signings have fitted straight in, and we have managed the injured players back (bar Smudger). 3 wins from 4, dreamland !! – To join the conversation, please click here.
