J.J. McCarthy, quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, welcomed a baby boy with his fiancée, Katya Kuropas, a few days back. McCarthy’s baby boy seems to be already doing his bit to cheer on his dad according to Kuropas’ recent Instagram post. Kuropas shared a picture of her son wearing a no. 9 jersey, the number of McCarthy’s jersey, in a baby carrier with an adorable caption before the matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
McCarthy and the Vikings struggled badly against the Atlanta Falcons, losing with a final score of 22-6. McCarthy was unable to play in his rookie season as a result of a knee injury after being bagged by the Vikings in the first round of the draft. In his sophomore season, the quarterback will hope to churn out stronger numbers for the team.

“Let’s go dad!!!! (purple heart emoji)” J.J. McCarthy’s fiancée, Katya Kuropas captioned her Instagram post.
Against the Atlanta Falcons, quarterback J.J. McCarthy did not contribute any scores but managed 11 pass completions out of 21 attempts. The Vikings definitely struggled throughout the matchup, something quite different from their season-opener against the Chicago Bears which ended in a win.
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings will be hoping that their Week 3 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals goes better than their most recent one. While the Vikings will come off a nasty defeat, the Bengals will come after a win against the Jaguars. However, Cincinnati’s QB Joe Burrow injured his toe and is expected to be out for some time, which makes the Bengals position pretty tricky.
J.J. McCarthy Out As A Result Of High Ankle Sprain
On another note, J.J. McCarthy incurred an injury during the Week 2 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. The quarterback sprained his ankle, which is expected to keep him off the field for the next couple of weeks.

With McCarthy out of the game for some time, the Minnesota Vikings will hand over the reins to veteran quarterback, Carson Wentz. Wentz signed with the Vikings during this offseason after having a couple of lackluster seasons. The veteran quarterback will hope to light up the scoreboard as he pushes his 30s.
Carson Wentz will start for the Minnesota Vikings against the Week 3 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, who are also incidentally struggling with a quarterback injury. Burrow had a turf toe injury in their previous week and is expected to be benched for a couple of weeks.
